    Workshop Services

    Repairs We Perform

Honest, capable golf club repairs, only the work we genuinely perform in-house.

    Golf Club Regripping

Worn, shiny or slippery grips cost you control and consistency. We fit and install fresh grips to your preferred size and feel, standard, midsize, oversize or built-up, across a full set or a single club.

    Golf Club Repairs & Rebuilding

From loose heads and rattling shafts to failed glue joints and damaged components, our workshop repairs and rebuilds clubs to get them back in play safely.

    Shaft Replacement & Reshafting

Snapped a shaft? We reshaft drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons with replacement shafts, correctly installed and aligned to your club.

    Grip Replacement

New grips are the fastest, cheapest way to refresh a set of clubs. We carry a range of grip styles and can match your existing feel or suggest something better suited to your game.

    Damaged Club Assessment

Not sure if a club can be saved? Drop it in for an honest assessment. We'll inspect the head, shaft, ferrule and grip and tell you straight whether it's a repair or a replacement.

    Club Assembly & Adjustments

We assemble clubs from components, swap heads, change lengths and rebuild existing equipment so your set is built the way you need it.

    Regripping

Golf Club Regripping Geelong & Bellarine

New grips are the cheapest upgrade you can make, and the one most golfers neglect. Worn grips get hard, shiny and slippery, forcing you to squeeze the club, which changes face angle, club path and your strike. We install fresh grips to your preferred size and feel, across a full set or a single club.

    • Standard, midsize, oversize and built-up grip sizes
    • Full set, single club or partial regrips
    • Match your existing feel or move to a new grip style
    • Quick turnaround from our Ocean Grove workshop

    Signs You Need New Grips

    • Grips feel smooth, shiny or hard
    • Your hands slip during the swing
    • A grip has a tear, crack or split
    • A shaft is loose, bent or rattling
    • A club head is cracked or coming loose
    • You've had the same grips for 12+ months

    Club Repair FAQs

Common questions about golf club repairs at The Golf Lab.

How often should golf grips be replaced?

As a general guide, grips should be replaced every 12 to 18 months for regular players, or roughly every 40 rounds. Worn grips lose tackiness and cause your hands to slip, which affects club control, face angle at impact and ultimately your scores.

Can you regrip a full set of clubs?

Yes. We regrip full sets, single clubs and everything in between. Bring the clubs in, choose your grip style and we'll install them in our Ocean Grove workshop.

Can you replace a snapped golf shaft?

In most cases, yes. We reshaft drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons with replacement shafts. Bring the club in for an honest assessment and we'll confirm what's possible.

Can you rebuild or repair damaged golf clubs?

Yes. Our workshop handles reshafting, regluing loose heads, ferrule work, grip replacement and general club repairs. If a club is beyond repair, we'll tell you straight.

Do I need an appointment for a repair?

It's best to send a repair request through the form below or call us first so we can confirm parts and turnaround. Walk-ins are welcome when the facility is staffed.
